Feng shui for the oval office, the zen of war

A friend and I drove 40 minutes east today to get out from under the oppressive, gray ceiling that is so prevalent in the pacific north west. As we sat at the bank of the Trinity river we covered countless topics, like we do so well. At some point we got to the co-opting that happens as east meets west in the least likely of places; hence the title.

Then we made our way to the town plaza to view films that brought up whatever topics we might not have gotten to. The School of the Americas, factory farming, eminem's new political video. The outdoor film showing is a move to reclaim public space.

All this activity helps to distract me from my dilapidated heart. Well, activity and the onset of computer addiction.

Regarding activity vs. computer addiction: Oof. I've gained five pounds since I started blogging.

cowboy, thanks for all your attempts and successes at getting me out of the house! everything would've atrophied this year if not for you. it occured to me that you likely have a shot of me with greg's ax. ??
