Free Fallin'

Tonight I get to write whatever I want, however I want. NO internal rules about being succinct or funny or cautious. (Well, as few as possible.) I am working out the details one at a time for deployment to volunteer in a H.K. shelter. One of 400 so far. I love everyone who is going, thinking of going, wants to go, or is doing what they can to support someone who is going. And the rest of you can be who you are, out side of my vast circle of love. Well, I can love you too, in a very special
go with god but go kind of way. There are so many opportunities to practice compassion. For those who hurt, and for those who don't know how to have compassion.

Anyway, I am amazed and delighted at how many people are straight steppin' up to serve. I am so pleased with my fellow humans who are doing the humanitarian work that needs to be done. Who are donating, praying, sacrificing, and arranging. I feel like we have been lead to believe that people are all out for self. That is some capitalist bullshit! That feeds capitalist greed. The culture of fear that was addressed in Michael Moore's film "Bowling for Columbine" is such a reality. I have this blog for instance, and I have been so surprised to learn how many folks are just folks. Just bloggin'. Just livin'. Doin' their thing. Not demanding to see my tits or telling me I'm a fat bitch. Just comin' to say "Hey, that was a cool phrasing" or else going on their merry, bloggy way. People are
not all for self. People are NOT out to get me. People are people (cue Depeche Mode). I am a people, and tonight I am even proud of me.
